BEYOND THE FILM

The Stories Behind Qigong

The documentary introduced you to the world of Qigong. But there are many more stories to tell. Meet the practitioners, teachers and ordinary people who shared their experiences with us along the way.

Hidden In Plain Sight

“PROBABLY THE MOST IMPORTANT 90 MINUTES OF YOUR LIFE”

Jeremy Colledge, Qigong teacher of 30 years

As our world becomes increasingly vulnerable to lifestyle-related illness and global pandemics, an ancient, time-tested healing practice is quietly gaining attention. Under our very noses, Zhineng Qigong offers a different perspective on health and healing — one that may have a place alongside modern medicine.

Our film, Hidden in Plain Sight, explores this powerful practice and asks whether what we have come to accept as the only path to healing is now being challenged.

Jeremy interviews people from around the world who share their experiences of recovering from life-threatening illnesses and chronic conditions.
For the first time, their stories are brought together with the remarkable story of Dr Pang Ming and the Medicine-Less Hospital he established in China.

Our hope is that Hidden in Plain Sight will encourage you to take a second look at Zhineng Qigong — and at other approaches to health and healing — through the real-life experiences of the people who have used these practices on their own healing journeys.

Creative Team Statements

"Qigong is comparatively unknown in the West, but as we face a wave of chronic illness more people are exploring alternative methods to heal themselves. This film opens the doors of perception and good information to a new audience, at a time that it is seriously needed. It is designed both as a fascinating film, as well as launching onto the world's stage a method that explores mental health skills, emotional intelligence management, physical exercises, and personal spiritual development for optimal health."

"We’re facing a major crisis in health and medicine simply because of the lifestyle choices that we’re making. The effect of this for people, for their lives, for their health, for society and in particular for economics is going to be disastrous. We must leave no stone unturned looking for effective techniques that can get us well and keep us well. Having lost and recovered my health, I am passionate about introducing people to the preventative and healing power of Zhineng Qigong."
